     Lucy was an adventurous, life-loving collie and a canine cancer warrior. The same week she turned five, Lucy was diagnosed with nasal adenocarcinoma (nasal cancer). Her owners (aka ‘pawrents’), who were about to be married, were heartbroken. Determined to make every moment count, they included Lucy as the flower dog in their wedding and changed their honeymoon plans to a beachside, pet-friendly Airbnb so she could join them.​ 

 

     Lucy was given just six months to live. She beat the odds, not only surviving but thriving for over two incredible years. Less than two months after Lucy’s passing, her human sister, Ava, arrived, and Lucy’s spirit continues to be felt in her family’s life.

 

     Lucy’s mom Angela (the author of this book) documented Lucy’s fight and adventures on Instagram, and the way the IG collie community responded was nothing short of extraordinary. People from all over the world rooted for Lucy, prayed for her, and followed her journey. They sent her thoughtful gifts and endless words of encouragement.

 

     The outpouring of love became a bright light in a difficult time - a beautiful reminder of the goodness in the world. It was this incredible support, and the way Lucy brought people together, that convinced Angela Lucy’s story needed to continue to be shared.
